This is a long post but we've been busy and have done lots of things this summer! We started our summer off with fun swim lessons! Bay loved her swim lessons and is a little fish! Her swimming skills have improved so much this summer! One of her favorite things to do was to jump into the pool from the side or from the diving board!
SWBy quite enjoyed watching Bay swim! But he himself wanted nothing to do with swimming! As the summer progressed he eventually warmed up to swimming but it depends what mood he's in because sometimes he loves swimming and sometimes he hates it!

This was dress rehearsal for Bay's dance recital! She did great!
Grandma came up to see Bay's performances and we always enjoy a visit from Grandma!
Here is our cute little dancer. She sure can strike a pose!
Everyone after the recital!
Bay and her friends from dance! She sure enjoyed dance class with these girls.
Some friends and I went to the 1 am showing of Eclipse! It was so fun! We were all dragging the next day though! The best part: we didn't have to wait in line because we had assigned seating! It was awesome!
Over the 4th of July weekend Spencer played in a few softball games with our brother-in-law. I really enjoyed watching him play! Since we've moved here he hasn't had the opportunity to play as much as he'd like so it was fun for all of us that he got to play. He made some pretty (well in my opinion) awesome plays! One of the ones I especially liked was when he slid into 2nd! Unfortunately, he had on shorts and got this nice raspberry that tormented him for the following 2 weeks!
The start of my vacations this summer was Girls Camp! I was gone for 3 weeks in a row! It was fun but I did miss sleeping in my own bed! We had a great time at Girls camp! This year was ward camp and our camp director was awesome! The food, company, and activities were great!
Spencer got to come up to Girls Camp this year for Bishopric night! It was fun to have him up there with me and after missing him for the first 2 days I was excited to see him the 3rd! Lucky for us I have a nice mom who came up to watch SWBy and Bay for us while we were away!
We literally left for our next vacation the day we got home from Girls Camp! We came home, did laundry, packed and left for CA. Poor SWBy was so exhausted that while we were trying to get ready to leave for CA he fell asleep on the couch! He must have had a fun, full week with grandma!
My Aunt and Grandma live in St. George, so lucky for us we were able to break up our drive to CA and spend a little time with Grandma! It's always so nice to see her and spend time with her!
We finally made it to CA and enjoyed a week on the beach with Spencer's family! We had a nice time and enjoyed our time together. Bay & SWBy certainly enjoyed their time with their cousins! In the picture above, we are on our way to church, the little kids all got matching Easter clothes this year. What a good looking group!!!
SWBy loved being on the beach. He wasn't so crazy about the water but love the beach and the sand! Above he has a little chocolate goatee. That's one of the few foods he'll actually eat! I thought he looked too cute not to get a picture!
SWBy loved playing this game!
Bay loves to get our camera and take pictures of herself! This is one of the great pictures she took of herself! It cracks me up!
We saw a seal in the ocean right outside our beach house! It was pretty cool, but I was really glad I wasn't in the water!
Bay sure enjoyed beach time with her cousins!
After our week on the beach in CA with Spencer's family I left from CA to Alaska. My mom invited me to go on this fishing trip with her and I thought a peaceful week with my mom to read and relax sounded great! I must say that enticed me a bit more than the fishing part. My mom took my brothers and Spencer on this trip in 2008 and Spencer loved it! He had so many good things to say about it so I thought it sounded fun! I had never been to Alaska before and I always enjoy going new places so that was another perk to this trip!
We caught lots of fish but mom only caught one that we could keep! We were fishing for salmon but the majority of the salmon were spawning so their meat wouldn't have been good to eat. Monday-Wednesday we fished all day but Thursday and Friday we were a bit tired and only fished half days! I was so glad we were only out half day Thursday and Friday because it was cold and I was freezing! Above is the first fish I caught and no I wouldn't hold any of the fish I caught! I just couldn't bring myself to hold them! Especially the sockeye and pike! Those fish have some nasty mouths and teeth!
Mom of course held her fish! However, a few of them slipped right out of her hands!
The only downside to this trip was the bathroom situation! There are no bathrooms while you are out on the lake fishing so you have to go in the woods where there are lots of bears! I have never been so scared to go to the bathroom and of course I had to go because I'm pregnant! The first day I had to go to the bathroom the guide pointed out bear tracks to me as we were looking for a place to go to the bathroom. That was not comforting! However, it was really neat seeing quite a few bears, so long as we were in a boat that could quickly get away!

Man you are one lucky duck! What an awesome summer!
Bay looks so sweet in her dance clothes. Adelaide has been begging for us to put her in ballet for a while now, I really need to make it happen. And be thankful Bay is scared of men. Adelaide LOVES men (has since she was a baby) and already flirts with them and talks about marraige all the time. I fear for her teenage years.
And how great do you look? In all of your pictures you don't even look pregnant! How do you do it hot lady?
So seriously, girls camp, alaska, the beach...can I come live with your family? So fun to see what you've been up to.
